Adventures in Camiguiin

The suka king after the night drinks in Butuan

The island-province of Camiguin is a pear-shaped volcanic island in the northern tip of Mindanao. It is approximately 90 kilometers north of the City of Cagayan de Oro. It is bounded to the north by Bohol Sea, to the west by Macajalar Bay, to the southeast by Gingoog Bay and to the east by Butuan Bay.

If there is one place which is included in my list of "Places in the Philipines I love to go to", Camiguin would be at top 5 (next to Vigan, Cebu, Bohol and Palawan)!!!

We just took  my friend, Jane's pick up going to the port. We pity the boys since they don't have a choice but to stay outside the pick up. To make their situation more worst was the fact that Brian, one of our travel buddies vomited because of heavy drinking night before the trip... Surely, they didn't have a seat to sit on! Thanks to the P 25.00 boxes, which were useful for our whole trip especially when it rained on our way back to Butuan....

Arriving Camigium

Visiting an old church

When we arrived in Camguin Island, our driver picked us from the port. Brought us to the nearest restaurant to eat lunch. Eating in Camiguin is not expensive for at least P30 per person, you can have a decent meal with drinks.

Then it was time to start our adventure. Camiguin is a small Island that you can surely travel in 1-2  days. Hiring a van was a good idea cause it saves our time to see most of the places we wanted to see. If you want to hire one, you can have some phone numbers from the port going to the Island. The ticketing booth has some contacts of van drivers. One of the exciting thing you can do in the Island is to rent a motorcycle and drive around. And of course, you have to have a map with you. There are a lot of things to do in Camiguin aside from swimming in the majestic white sand Island. Nature relaxation is the specialty of this place. From hot spring in Ardent, the soda pool, the amazing falls, the local food and of course the relaxing breeze.

The trip was totally fun and was the best example of true adventure... Lalo na sa mga walang ligo during the trip.... whhheeeeeewwwwww!!!!!! At the end of the whole Camiguin adventure, all I can do was to thank God for giving us this trip for we all know that it was the best memory we can carry with us as we go forward.... Thank you so much for all the laughter, jokes and crying moments guys!!!! For the whole bonding moments too!!!!!! Thank you Jane for making this happen!!!!!!
