Speechless...
It's another annual leave going back home. And as always, before heading back to Davao (which is my home town), I always plan to go somewhere in the Philippines (to achieve my dream to step my feet in the 7, 107 Island of the Philippines). This year, the chosen one was Boracay. Boracay is an Island in Caticlan, Panay which is a must-see for tourist. And since my cousin told me to go before it becomes bad (I mean, since it was considered as of of the virgin Islands in the Philippines and now starting to be come so crowded with people, restaurants and hotels).
I took the midnight flight from Hong Kong going to Clark, Pampanga (my first time to land on this City). I was so upset to know that as I reached Clark, there wasn't any place to stay for sleeping aside from the dirty chairs outside the 24 hours convenience store. The hotels are too far away from the airport. Of course, I can managed as I said to myself. Yet since I was working the morning before I left and it was crazy busy at work, my body was crying out loud for a proper bed. Yet, still I managed to have some nap while waiting for my connecting flight to Kalibo City.

It was 5:00 in the morning when I made my way inside the check in counter. Waited for a couple of hours before the plane finally brought me to Kalibo. Upon arrival in Kalibo, I really (honestly) don't have any idea where to take the van going to Caticlan. Yet to my surprise a lot of tour companies were waiting in the arrival area, offering you different prices of the transportation. I got the P250 van ticket going to Caticlan, which I believe was the greatest deal around. I couldn't honestly tell you how nice it was along the way to Caticlan since I was sleeping the whole time inside the van. (You see, I have my limits as well even with the crazy adrenaline in my veins).

It's time to have that TAN!!!
By 12:00 noon I was already in Boracay Island after taking the 2 hours van ride from Kalibo City to Caticlan City and the 20 minutes ferry to the Island. Mind you, Boracay is such a tourist place, asking you for many fees like environmental fee, terminal fee and even toilet fee. Pretty crazy!! I arrived in the guest house just in time to call my so-worried Mother (repeatedly asking why I need to stop in Boaracay and who I was with). After my long conversation with her I decided to take a nap before exposing my skin to the sun and touching my feet in the sand.
By 3:30 pm, I was in the beautiful white sand beach of Boracay and I was speechless, ready to have my skin tanned. The things I was looking at was just perfect! Clear water, nice sun, fine sand, beautiful people and of course food around. My thought started to work again, thinking of so many things to write and to photograph. When you are in Boracay, time seems to stop still. Then my tummy started to sing - BBQ!!! BBQ!!!

Great Company
My remaining days in Boracay were worth spent in the beach, enjoying the sunset and loving the happy hours cocktail drinks. Being in Boracay was like a good reward to give to my self after the hard work.

I am just in love with the place and thinking of coming back again someday... Like they say, it's more fun in the Philippines! And in deed it was!
