Turning a year older in Kuala Lumpur

The feeling of being infront of the twins

This is me! Absolutely me!! When it comes to travelling, my adrenaline is always on its highest speed. I was from a busy morning shift when I rushed to Hong Kong International Airport for my first ever self-paid holiday. My flight from Hong Kong was set in the midnight, and of course as always I am flying with a budget airlines, Tiger Air. Honestly, I don't mind as long as I can see a part of the world.

So, there I was, on my bag, I flew going to Singapore. I arrived Singapore by 0100 am and the first thing I was looking for was a place to sleep while waiting for our flight going to Kuala Lumpur, which was scheduled at 0700 am. Changi Airport, to be honest, is not really friendly to travelers considering the fact that there are only limited seats inside the terminal. Thanks to my training in Girl Scouting and I managed to find a little place to sleep.

As they say, the world is small for friends with good memories and that was true in this trip. Who would ever thought that after my friend, Navin left Davao City to go back to Malaysia we would be able to see each other again? I thank God (smiling while typing this) for the gift of good friends like Navin, who became our driver slash tour guide in KL.

Masjid Putrajaya

We arrived in KL safe and sound, not even sleepy. Excited! First stop was Putrajaya, known before as Perang Besar. Located 25km south of KL, Putrajaya serves as the federal administrative centre of Malaysia. We visited one the biggest mosque in the area called Masjid Putrajaya. In the entrance, the receptionist informed me to borrow a coat to cover my whole body, since I think women are scared in the Islam practice. The mosque is a must to see I have to say. The way they built it and the art inside is something to appreciate. My most favorite part of the mosque is the back terrace, where you can have the beautiful view of the river and the house of the Sultan.

Second stop was the Batu Caves. NOTICE TO PUBLIC: Beware of stealing monkeys! The  Batu Caves are situated thirteen kilometers (seven miles) north of the capital city Kuala Lumpur. They are the sacred place for the Hindu's in Malaysia. They consist of three main caves and a number of smaller ones. The caves are made of limestone and 400 meters long and 100 meter high. They were discovered in 1892.

Before entering the sacred place, we grabbed our brunch at the nearest Indian restaurant which serves vegetarian foods. I was so eager to try something new, so I asked Navin to order me the specialty. And minutes later, my order arrived!
I forgot the name of this but it taste good with curry sauce

their own version of hot choco

And minutes later....

Now, I am ready to climb up the top the cave!!!!!!!! And here are some shots inside Batu Caves....=)

The most awaited part of the whole trip came in the afternoon, meeting the twins of Malaysia! The famous Twin towers.

The temperature in KL made us burned, sweating and smelly. So before continuing the day, we headed to our hotel to freshen up. After 1 hour, we were back on the road again, listening to Navin's techno music. Streets to streets... Roads to roads... I just enjoyed KL in the night....

Navin invited us to see the night life in KL but I was too honest in saying that I am tired. So we did call the day off. The way going back to the hotel from the center of KL was a long way, I fell asleep like a patient having some Propofol. And when I woke up, a day was gone in KL and another was starting.... I turned a year older in the road of Kuala Lumpur, with two big boys infront of me, enjoying the night music.....
